Travel Log: Old Mill State Park

Weather: Sunny, cool at night, rainy in the morning

Our first impression of this park was a sign hanging that indicated a bear had been spotted by the Old Mill within the last week. Jason was and is now convinced a bear will be hanging with us one of these trips.

We toured the Old Mill area, seeing an old Miller farmstead, and the equipment they had many years ago for milling. Thanks to corn nuts, we had a very friendly chipmunk visit us frequently at our campsite.

This park was peaceful but the Hiking Club Trail was very buggy. We didn't see any bears (only bear tracks) but we left our pal the chipmunk some sunflower seeds before leaving.
